Online pinochle yahoo7/28/2023 All the way to the day MonkeyRoyale closed I tried my best to make sure every tournament had enough players no matter what the entry fee was or what game it was. I joined any tournament in any game as much as I can. I played all those games and I can really say I enjoyed myself. Royal side also had gin50, doms50 and cribbage61 leagues The following games we played at one time or another. But slowly they canceled some of the games due to lack of interest in the games and the cheating by some players especially in pool. MonkeyRoyale had many games that we played on Yahoo. I missed most of them but I went to the last 2 reunions before MonkeyRoyale closed. I also noticed a button for banana rama which is where all players from all over the world who are members can meet in person and play live tournaments. Later on I will let you know where the idea of split tournaments came from. We did not have any flags on our wall except for the ones for TDs. Owners were allowed to do their TD center though. Russ stopped it after few years because it was slowing down the server. League owners were allowed to create their league pages and there there some beautiful pages. Any player who is at least 21 years of age and has the bux can bid. And if they were caught breaking a major infractions than they lost their leagues. Pretty much many leagues got away with many infractions. Some leagues used to wait up to an hour to get 4 players. Since there was so much competition, we had problems getting at least 4 players in our tournaments. The cost was 25 dollars per league and you had to be 21 years of age. I loved hosting all the way to the end of MonkeyRoyale. I had lot of fun and on at least one occasion I ran a 24 hour marathon with just me and themonkeymidget without either one of us sleeping. Back then we had ruby tournaments and those were fun but eventually they did away with them. I was running 50 to 100 tournaments a month. I became famous by titling my tournament Cribs with Bambi. TDs were allowed to put a title on their tournament and create their own pages. I would come to find out that MonkeyRoyale used to be called Ladder Monkeys. My favorite format during training was survivor. I started my training immediately and finished all ten in 2 days. At the time Diving-gal was operation, and we had no league manager in the Jungle, and I added Russ of course. Puffie and themonkeymidget wanted me to get my training done asap because at the time they had 2 TDs. It did not take me long to learn all of them. I was accepted within minutes of applying.īefore I go any further I will post here what all the short cuts for words mean on the internet: Back than you had to do 10 training tournaments. She explained it to me and I agreed to apply. Of course I had no idea what that meant, LOL. Anyways, puffie messaged me and asked me if I would be interested in becoming a TD. I just could not imagine a real person on the other end. The first time I spoke to someone on the messenger I was convinced that I was talking to a robot. She showed me where to download a messenger and how to add people to it so we can chat. Puffie who was an administrator asked me if I had a Messenger and I told her no. My bux were running low after just 3 days of joining and I was about to give u p on the site. I had always chatted in lobby or at the tables. I had never heard of Yahoo messenger for chatting. The first tournament I joined was Cribbage in family leagues. I read all the rules and learned how to join a tournament. A week later I decided to check out MonkeyRoyale and joined them. I wrote down the site and figured some day I would check it out. One night while waiting for players to join my table I saw someone typing about Monkeyroyale. For the most part I never really read the lobby and was concentrating on my game. I did not know anything about all the short cuts of typing but slowly started learning them. I will let you know later how I ended up eventually with the ID Darlene. I created my ID and was playing Pinochle about 14 hours a day. Someone mentioned to me Yahoo so I went to the site and found what I was looking for. I started looking for a site that might have Pinochle because it was my favorite game. I started playing on MSN and played mostly backgammon. I chose that ID because my daughter's favorite movie was Bambi. Most people might not remember me but my original Yahoo ID. I loved the site from day one that I joined in 2003. I am writing this story about MonkeyRoyale, my experience, and my memories. I came to United States in 1977 and I am an American citizen. I do not like my birth name and changed it on here. My name is Majida Ajami, but everyone knows me by Darlene Johnson. I will start this post with a little about me. BUT NOT GOING TO CHANGE ANYTHING IN THIS FOR ANYONE. THIS BLOG IS ABOUT MY EXPERIENCE AND WHAT I WITNESSED DURING MY YEARS ON MONKEYROYALE. Windows 8 start menu back7/28/2023 Note that this app is poor in functionality and usage as it is slow and does not react to the users input properly, but this is rare and quite acceptable taking into consideration that it is a freeware. This app is more old-school and the users familiar with the old XP style may prefer this app the most. Start8′s additional Start-screen-in-a-box menu doesn’t add much value as things currently stand. If a Windows 7 Start menu is what you want, StartIsBack offers the same for less money. The Start8 pricing starts at $4.99 per PC. The settings page is pretty descent and straight forward as well as easy to navigate. There is one trick under the hood is that you can tell start8 to display the metro-styled UI in a portrait mode which may not run well but still worth a try. It does include selective disabling of hot corners, it does boot straight to the desktop and all the similar functions which you can expect. It has a nice Windows logo at the bottom left of the screen which does not glow when the mouse is hovered over it. This app is almost similar technically as startisback, with some changes under the hood. When running, it doesn’t even create any extra processes it just loads an extra DLL into the Explorer process that Windows always runs anyway. The app can be installed and used as a regular unprivileged user. Licenses for StartIsBack start from $3 per PC, with a free 30-day trial. Nonetheless, this is the best Windows 7 workalike if that’s what you’re after. StartIsBack also doesn’t do anything to reinstate desktop functionality for things that have been moved into the Metro universe clicking your network connection still shows a Metro-esque panel, adding a Bluetooth device still takes you to the Metro Settings app, and so on. Similarly, Win+F takes you to the new Metro search screen rather than an Explorer search window. The Win+Tab combination still invokes the new Metro app switcher rather than Flip3D. Metro does still poke through occasionally. With StartIsBack you can still have access to the Start screen if you want you can also elect to remove all desktop apps from the Start screen, making it a launcher solely for Metro-style apps. Beyond that, StartIsBack allows you to disable the hot corners. Logging in direct to the desktop is the most important for those wanting to turn Windows 8 into Windows 7, and StartIsBack duly provides that option. On top of this genuine Start menu experience, StartIsBack provides some control over Windows 8 features. The StartIsBack Start button and menu look all but identical to their Windows 7 versions. When it comes to providing an authentic Start-like experience, the clear winner is StartIsBack. Let’s get started one by one with the most popular software, and the ones which I prefer the most on my Windows machine. We need to somehow ditch the metro UI and live tiles which Windows 8 provides by default and get to the familiar known windows environment. Today we are going to talk about some apps in the wild which try and fill the gap between the metro UI and the regular Windows 7/XP desktop experience. Also another factor is that after the login screen the user is directed to the metro styled UI interface other then the regular familiar windows desktop, this might be annoying to many as this requires an extra click to get to the Windows 8 Desktop. Windows 8 is out there with lot of bells and whistles, but many of them are complaining about the lack of start menu in the desktop. Type 3 odontoid fracture7/28/2023 Type 2: disruption of the C2 to C3 disc, posterior longitudinal ligament, greater than 4 mm subluxation, greater than 11 degrees angulation, less than 5 mm requires a reduction in axial traction and halo fixation for 6 to 12 weeks while those with greater than 5 mm can require surgery. Type 1: Less than 3 mm subluxation of C2 on C3, due to axial loading, stable, rigid cervical collar treatment.Stable 90% heal with immobilization alone.Fracture is generally through the bilateral pars, usually from hyperextension and axial loading. The Roy-Camille classification of odontoid fractures is another but less frequently used nomenclature format focusing on the direction of the fracture line. Type-3 fractures: These fracture through the odontoid peg and into the body of C2, generally well tolerated.Type-2 fractures: These are the most common they fracture through the based of the odontoid below the transverse portion of the cruciform ligament, they have a high risk of non-union.Type-1 fractures: Upper portion of the odontoid peg, above the transverse portion of the cruciform ligament, these are generally stable.Fracture through the dens, flexion, or extension injuryĪnderson and D’Alonzo classification is the most ubiquitous.Ĭ2 fractures can be divided into 2 kinds: odontoid and hangman's. For example, C1-C2 is generally responsible for 50% of the rotation movement. Lack of intervertebral discs, unique ligamentous attachments, vertebra anatomy, and vertebral artery vasculature makes this area biomechanically unique from the subaxial cervical spine. It is critical to appreciate the unique anatomy of the C2 vertebra. The dens extend superiorly to communicate with C1 via the ligamentous anatomy. This is troublesome because these have a pseudoarthrosis (non-union) rate that exceeds 50%. The incidence of C2 fractures increased 135% from 2000 to 2011 in the Medicare population. C2 fractures are associated with a 20% and 40% increased risk of mortality within 3 months and 2 years, respectively. The majority of C2 fracture types are type-II dens fractures. It is important to recognize that in the elderly cohort, low-energy cervical blunt trauma can create unstable high cervical spine fractures. Falls, motor vehicle accidents, assault, and other traumatic presentations usually cause blunt trauma. Etiologyīlunt trauma is the leading mechanism. In the pediatric cohort, C1 to C2 injuries represented 7.7% of spine fractures presenting through a multi-institutional series following after trauma from multiple blunt mechanisms. Those who were younger, male, and presenting with spinal cord injury were more likely to undergo surgical intervention. Of 6370 patients with C2 fractures in Sweden, 51% were male, and the average age was 72 years. Registry study places the incidence of C2 fracture at 6 per 100,000 people. Identify interprofessional team strategies for improving communication to advance medical care and improve outcomes for various types of C2 vertebral fractures.Summarize the management options available for second cervical vertebra fractures, based on the specific fracture type.Outline the components of evaluation/assessment for a patient presenting with a potential second cervical vertebra fracture, including any indicated imaging studies.Describe the unique vertebral anatomy of the second cervical vertebra (axis). This activity reviews the etiology, presentation, evaluation, and management of C2 vertebral fractures and reviews the interprofessional team's role in evaluating, diagnosing, and managing the condition. In Sweden, of 6370 patients with C2 fractures: 51% were male, and the average age was 72 years. Registry study places the incidence of C2 fracture at 00 people. Australia lockdown enforcement7/28/2023 It does not cover medical repatriation to Ireland. Equally it does not cover outpatient costs for follow-up (dressings, physiotherapy, etc.). It does not cover prescription costs other than for patients while in hospital. It does not cover ambulance costs which, given the size of Australia and the frequent use of air ambulances, can be significant. This agreement is limited to emergency situations and is not a replacement for medical insurance. It is important to note that the agreement only covers people who are legally in Australia on certain visa classes (student visas are not included). Sugar in monster energy drink7/28/2023 Monster Beverage Corporation, Red Bull, Coca-Cola, Rockstar Inc., and PepsiCo are a few of the many companies with a high market share in the energy drinks segment, and these companies promote their beverages through advertising, and sports players and celebrity endorsement. The National Center for Complementary and Integrative Health states that “men between the ages of 18 and 34 years consume the most energy drinks, and almost one-third of teens between 12 and 17 years drink them regularly.”Įnergy drinks are one of the fastest growing products in the beverage market. Sports drinks contain ingredients that are intended to increase or enhance athletic performance for example, sports drinks typically contain carbohydrate and electrolytes, including potassium and sodium. How do energy drinks differ from sports drinks?īoth energy drinks and sports drinks have added ingredients that are intended to do something, such as make you feel more alert and energized, as in the case of energy drinks. Energy drinks are in the category of dietary supplements, which means that don’t undergo a FDA (Food and Drug Administration) approval process. They may also contain other herbs, such as ginseng. B vitamins help the body use energy from food (although B vitamins do not give you an energy boost). Some energy drinks also contain B vitamins. The CDC (Centers for Disease Control and Prevention) defines energy drinks as beverages that “typically contain large amounts of caffeine, added sugars, other additives, and legal stimulants such as guarana, taurine, and L-carnitine.” The legal stimulants in energy drinks “can increase alertness, attention, energy, as well as increase blood pressure, heart rate, and breathing.” Rather, they’re names of energy drinks, popular beverages that have blasted their way into the beverage market. The name is what usually grabs you first: Red Bull. Usps priority mail tracking7/28/2023 The scans performed by MDDs are submitted to the USPS Regional Intelligent Mail Server (RIMS) network. The devices they used prior to this didn’t include GPS. In 2013, USPS began rolling out MDDs, which are Mobile Delivery Devices that capture GPS locations along the postal carrier’s route, as well as the delivery GPS location when a tracking barcode is scanned as “Delivered”. This information was used both as a means of measuring postal service efficiency and providing customers with a means of tracking their packages. IMDs (Intelligent Mail Devices) scanned tracking barcodes. In 2002, the USPS implemented the Managed Service Points (MSP) program to scan barcodes at the delivery unit (your local post office) and on specific points along your postal carrier’s line of travel, including Stop The Clock (STC) scans, which are when a package is delivered (or when delivery is attempted). Manual Scans Track The “Final Mile” Deliveries Once the package finally reaches your local post office most of the remaining scans are done by handheld Mobile Delivery Devices (MDDs). The exception to this is if a third party, a Shipping Partner, provides scan information while the package is in their system prior to them delivering it to a USPS facility. Automated Processing Equipment Takes Care Of The Initial Trackingīefore your package reaches your local post office, all the tracking scan events are created by USPS automated processing and sorting equipment. The barcode on the shipping label is scanned to track the package as it moves through the USPS system and up to the final delivery (or attempted delivery). Tracking numbers are automatically assigned when a shipping label is created. AuthorWrite something about yourself. No need to be fancy, just an overview. ArchivesCategories |
